AT YOGA WITH MIHIKA, I OFFER YOU
A practical, grounded, and
transformative path
toward sustained health and
holistic well-being.
THINGS I AM DOING
1 : 1 YOGA
Sometimes being physically present is not possible, but consistency matters far more than location. A regular class can become an anchor in your week, a space to pause, reconnect, and return to yourself. Learn more
Whether online or in person, regular practice creates discipline and allows positive change to unfold gradually over time. The benefits extend well beyond the physical practice of yoga. You begin to notice greater resilience, inner strength, clarity, and a deeper sense of calm in your everyday life.
Teaching at Fernwood Fitness
One of my greatest joys is bringing my vision of grounded, practical, and transformative yoga into a group fitness setting. I often hear participants say, "Your yoga class is very different from others we've attended." I take that as a compliment because my goal has never been to teach yoga as a series of poses or a workout. Instead, I strive to build strong foundations and understanding of the postures, and discover how yoga can support them both on and off the mat, making yoga accessible to everyone, regardless of age, body type, flexibility, or previous experience.
I've been working with an incredible team of women, from supportive management who were open to embracing a different approach to yoga, to the many yoga practitioners who attend regularly, for over a year. Whether they arrive with aches and pains or simply looking to deepen their yoga practice through a greater understanding of alignment, balance, and breath, they leave feeling stronger, more connected, and complete.
Teaching at Macquarie University S&A Centre
Creating and launching a brand-new program at Macquarie has been both exciting and challenging.
Working alongside the amazing fitness team, bringing a unique perspective to the group fitness space, we introduced Breath & Balance, a class built around the powerful connection between breath, body, and mind. Breath is the central theme, using ancient yogic breathing techniques in a way that is safe, practical, and relevant for modern life.
The class is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of experience, while remaining true to my values and vision. The positive feedback and growing community of regular attendees speak for themselves.
Working with Yoga Therapy Clients
As part of my Yoga Therapy practicum, I have been fortunate to work with a diverse range of clients under the guidance of my mentor, Mon, and the immense wisdom of Dr. Chandrika.
Each client has expanded my understanding of health, healing, and what it truly means to support another person. The work has challenged me in unexpected ways, taking me far beyond the yoga mat into areas I never imagined exploring, including reviewing clinical research, studying physiology in depth, understanding nervous system regulation, and exploring the therapeutic potential of breath.
What fascinates me most is how seemingly simple practices can create profound change, even in situations where conventional approaches may not provide complete relief. This journey has opened an entirely new world of learning and discovery. The deeper I dive, the deeper the possibilities seem to become.

I have been practicing yoga for almost forty years, since I was first introduced to it as a child, and teaching it for the past seven.
Yet…
…despite decades on the mat, it was during some of life's most challenging moments that I truly experienced yoga's profound impact, not only on the body, but also on the mind and spirit.
For me, yoga is not limited to what happens on a mat. It is an everyday practice of awareness, finding stability through the breath, connecting with the body through movement, and cultivating a sense of ease and resilience that carries into all aspects of life.
